About the Role

The Parts Interpreter is responsible for the interpretation and supply of parts to external customers. The incumbent will also be required to assist both the sales and service teams by procuring and providing pricings, parts and technical assistance.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive customer enquiries, identify the items sought and take all necessary steps to procure those items in order to satisfy the customers’ requirements in a timely manner.
  • Follow up on outstanding quotations in an endeavour to improve the level of customer service and to maximise sales of parts.
  • Process incoming supplier invoices on a daily basis to enable jobs to be invoiced.
  • Monitor activity for non-stock demand and emergency replenishment of stock lines.
  • Order from approved suppliers the non-genuine requirements of the activity for stock and non-stock lines.
  • Create Part numbers in accordance with the IMS procedures.

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong Customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent administration skills
  • Intermediate level computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Automotive Sales (desirable)
  • Good knowledge of Toyota parts (desirable)
  • Previous experience as a parts interpreter within the material handling industry or similar
  • Previous experience with M3  (or SAP similar) systems
