Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA)
With the recent expansion of our product range to include Takeuchi Construction Equipment, Toyota Material Handling Australia is seeking an experienced and motivated Area Sales Manager (ASM) to support our growing Earthmoving & Construction Sales team.
This role is responsible for driving profitable unit sales, increasing market share, and building strong relationships with new and existing customers across the Sydney territory
Key Responsibilities
- Drive profitable growth across new and used equipment sales within the assigned territory.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships in a competitive market.
- Promote and present TMHA and Takeuchi products to existing customers while actively seeking new business opportunities.
- Conduct customer site visits, product demonstrations and equipment walk-arounds.
- Support sales and marketing initiatives, promotions and product programs.
- Provide market insights, customer feedback and trend observations to the Sales & Product Manager – Earthmoving.
- Use technical product knowledge to assist with quotations, estimates and tenders in line with pricing policies.
- Support specialised product and technical equipment sales where required.
- Deliver accurate technical information and performance advice to customers.
- Represent TMHA at national and regional field days, expos and industry events.
Skills & Experience
- Proven sales experience within the Construction, Earthmoving or related industrial equipment industry.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and remain professional under pressure.
- Strong customer service focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate to advanced computer literacy across standard business software.

With the recent acquisition of the Takeuchi Construction Equpipment rights, TMHA are seeking an Area Sales Managers (ASM) to support our Takeuchi Construction Equipment Sales team. The ASM is responsible to maximise profitability, volume and market share through the growth of new unit sales within the territory by building relationships and gaining new business with current and future clients.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Achieve profitable unit volume growth through new and used sales in the sales territory.
- Develop good relationships with its customers in a competitive environment.
- Promote sales of the company's products to existing customers and seeks to establish new contacts.
- Arrange customer visits to demonstrate the performance and suitability of the company's product.
- Participate in the planning and execution of programs designed to promote the company's products and sales and marketing activities.
- Give feedback to the National Sales Manager - Retail as to client response and interest patterns.
- Put technical knowledge to commercial use to assist the preparation of estimates and tenders in accordance with sales and pricing policy.
- Arrange the promotion and sales of specialised products and equipment of a technical nature
- Ensure technical information and advice regarding the nature and performance of the company's products is provided to customers.
- Supporting TMHA at field days across the country when required
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary Qualification in Business Sales or Sales & Marketing, desirable
- Previous experience in Sales within the Constructon industry
- Previous experience handling conflicting priorities and work professionally under pressure in competitive situations
- Excellent Customer Service skills & Interpersonal skills
- Intermediate to advanced Computer literacy
- Great time management skills
